Backstage Promotions founder Tony Gibbon formed his company over two decades ago to originally provide DJs and bands to venues in and around the Worcester area. Since those early days Backstage Promotions has continued to grow and still maintains its policy of offering quality entertainment at realistic prices.
In 2008, Steve High joined the Backstage stable and with his vast knowledge of the entertainment and education system has helped the company to spread its wings into new areas such as team building activities for children and a growing emphasis on corporate entertainment.
Backstage Promotions were the creators and Managers of top tribute band The Beatless, who for over 12 years entertained tens of thousands of people in all parts of the globe. The band were the first to play a live concert broadcast on the Internet, and once played to a live TV audience of 80 million people across the Middle East.
Other acts from the Backstage Promotions stable have included comedian Elliott Brooks, original Beatles drummer Pete Best, Rolling Stones tribute Stoned Again and (Mr Moonriver) Danny Williams.
Events and tours organised by us over the years include the Three Counties Band of the Year, The Magical History Tour, Worcester's Party In The Park, Beatlefest, The Nat King Cole Story and 'Come Together' the Lennon & McCartney Show.
We were also responsible (along with Passion & Pain) for staging Europe's largest weekly student night in Coventry and co-produced the 70's touring show Boogie Wonderland.
The team currently stage regular club nights at two of Worcester's top venues, namely Drummonds and Keystones. These weekly events feature a host of top midlands bands as well as some of the biggest names in the DJ world.
